The Kids Are Not Alright

When it comes to mental health, Latina teens in the U.S. have disproportionately high rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide attempts compared to their male counterparts and white peers -- which is a big deal considering 1 in 4 Gen Zers in the U.S. are Latino.

In this episode of the VICE series LATINX, Paola Ramos goes to Milwaukee to learn about some of the challenges facing this growing young population and delve into the experiences of two first-generation Latina teens as they grapple with their own mental health experiences.
